NSW Ministerial Taskforce holding Consultations on Aboriginal affairs strategy for NSW

NSW Minister for Aboriginal Affairs Victor Dominello MP today opened community consultation for the development of a new Aboriginal affairs strategy for NSW.

To help the public get involved in developing the strategy, Community Discussion Papers on service delivery, education and employment have been released, as has a schedule of public community meetings across NSW.

There are two submission deadlines:

Submissions in relation to Improving service delivery and government accountability in Aboriginal affairs across NSW and Improving employment outcomes for Aboriginal people in NSW should be lodged no later than 5pm Wednesday 29 February 2012.

Submissions in relation to Improving educational outcomes for Aboriginal people in NSW should be lodged no later than 5pm 30 March 2012 to enable responses from the school community.

Tuesday 24 January 2012 Redfern
Tuesday 31 January 2012 Liverpool
